-This is about peer support using our coaching skills
-We believe in hope, support, connection, abundance, gratitude and the power of being there for each other!
-You are never alone, "We got you" and we are here for you without judgement!
This situation is where peer support makes a real difference.
We understand because we have been there.
You are not alone. We have been there and can help you deal with those feelings.
We have all been there. We can help you with thoughts or feelings that are causing suffering and help you reframe the situation.
Many of us are struggling.
A certified life coach is trained to listen without judgement. You can keep your zoom video feature turned off if you prefer.
We understand the frustration and lack of control. We have heard this before. Almost half of physicians feel stress due to lack of control at work. Let's talk about this.
Many of us are frontlines. We have supported peers who have witnessed unimaginable suffering. We can talk about all the emotions you have not had time to process.
Physician reviews are ubiquitous in healthcare now. We can help you process these emotions and gain a new perspective.
Medicine is a long way to a diverse workforce. Until we achieve diversity and equity we can help you manage the emotions that are causing you distress.
We all do things to get love and praise from others. It is a basic human need. However, sometimes we need to be reminded of who we are and how far we have come.
We can't control what others say or how they behave. You do have control on how you interpret or react to a situation and it will release the emotional hold it can create. Coaches will help you understand the role of all the "shoulds " which you may choose to let go of.
Every physician has different skills, whether you know all the causes or hypercalcemia by heart, or you can take out an appendix in 21 minutes. Physicians who are coaches have another unique skill set. By sharing what you are dealing with, it can help lighten your load.
Everyone here is a physician. We are here to help and listen. We have been trained with skills that can give a different perspective than a spouse, friend or therapist. We just want to support you and help you as peer colleagues.
Burnout Is Real. Many of us have been there.
Here, 10 amazing physicians got together to share an important message, a message of hope.
We dance together to share joy and hope with you.

A life coach is individual who has been certified to help others understand how their thoughts are causing their feelings, which then lead to their actions and results.
Life coaching can increase your awareness and help you learn skills to perceive less frustration, or pain during difficult, yet expected circumstances of life.
Coaching can help you understand that you have a conscious choice about what you think and this will affect how you ultimately feel and act.
The coaches are all physicians who have trained or are in training to be certified life coaches.
Coaching is not a doctor/patient relationship, but rather it is a coach/ client relationship.
We do not prescribe any medications, nor do we act in a physicians role when we coach.
Therapy is provided by either by a licensed mental health provider or physician in which a patient/ doctor relationship is established. Therapy may help you understand how your your situation or past affects your situation now. There are many different types of therapy and we do not offer that. We offer an understanding and awareness of your thoughts, so that you can see how it affects your feelings, actions and results.
It is grassroots organization founded by a physician, in which volunteer physicians who are certified life coaches, give 1:1 free and confidential support using coaching skills to other physicians who can benefit from it.
No, this is free for any physician.
These sessions are confidential, not recorded and we do not report use to anyone.
If we feel anyone is a danger to self or others we will refer to appropriate resources that are beyond our scope as life coaches.
For physicians: MDs or DOs in training or who have finished their training and wants support from a peer who understands the stressors and challenges we face as physicians.
If you are depressed or suicidal, there are other resources available.
Please see the resource page or call the Physician Support Line which is run by psychiatrists at 1 (888) 409 0141.
Please reach out to The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: by texting 988 you are having suicidal thoughts or call 911.
Coaching is evidence based technique that has been proven to alleviate physician burnout. Being supported by a certified coach who is also a fellow physician adds another level of understanding of the unique challenges doctors face.
47% of physicians suffer from burnout, 18% are depressed, 13% have suicidal thoughts. 56% of physicians with burnout do not intend to get help. Meanwhile 400+ physicians per year will complete suicide. We must help each other as physicians. Do not suffer in silence. You are meant to live your best life, not your worst life as a physician.
We are here for peer support only, but we have different skills we use to help as coaches, which is different than a friend, a mentor or a spouse.
